There has been a Scania depot in Stoke-on-Trent since 1987. It moved to its current site with a purpose built drive through workshop in 1994. During the last, almost 20 years, the depot has considerably expanded the range of services offered and the number of people employed. The depot currently has 23 qualified techicians of which 13 are Master Technicians (the highest level of Scania technical training available). 

The depot opening hours are:- 

Monday - Saturday Open 24 hours from 0800 Monday until 1800 Saturday
Sunday 0700-1200 if required 

Depot Manager, John Hopwood, comments:- 

"We pride ourselves in offering a `One Stop Shop` for both our Scania and non-Scania customers. We provide a comprehensive aftersales service for operators of all makes of trucks, buses and coaches in the Stoke area. Our workshop has a range of specialist facilities including, a recently installed, MOT standard roller brake tester and headlight alignment equipment. Being consistently excellent in everything we do is name of the game at Stoke depot."

This service level consistency is demonstrated by Stoke depot being placed second in the Scania Depot of the Year Competition for 2005 and being first during the first three quarters of this year. With this enviable track record, they are well placed to win the competition for 2006 as a whole.
