G Cab, Highline- Spacious flexible and comfortable

The G-series was Launched to the UK Market at the 2008 Commercial Vehicle (CV) show.The G-series range of Scania trucks brings a new level of comfort to drivers engaged in national long-haulage, distribution and virtually all types of construction applications.

This new level of comfort was one of the reasons S Owen & Sons selected a G Series Scania,

"We selected a G-Series Scania as the size fitted our requirements, it is a spacious cab and with the highline the driver has the option to sleep over night." Mark Owen, S Owen & Sons Ltd.

S Owen & Sons are a family run business which was incorporated in 1930 and currently operate a fleet of 9 trucks, 3 of which are Scania’s, their main type of work is the transportation of fuel, stone and animal feed. This recent purchase is to transport animal feed from the docks at Liverpool and stone to various quarries.

Incorporating the G-Series, Highline and tag axle is a relatively rare combination, West Pennine Trucks, Scania Salesmen Richard Barnes comments on why it works,

"The Highline cab mounted lower on the chassis has got to be a good thing, with the space of a highline but a lower exterior height it suits so many needs, this the first G cab Highline I have delivered and in a tag and it looks breathtaking."

The work did not stop at supplying this vehicle, as the team at West Pennine Trucks Oswestry fitted the truck with a Stallion P.T.Osystem and adapted the200 litre fuel tank to become the hydraulic oil tank. Mark Owen comments on service they received,

"We received excellent service from the Oswestry depot, they are reliable and deliver a very good standard of work."
