West Pennine Trucks supplies Yearsley Group with 41 Scania Tractor Units
Frozen Food company, Yearsley Group, have recently taken delivery of 41 new Scania R 420 LA6x2/4MNA tractor units from West Pennine Trucks Limited.
This recent purchase will bring their total Scania units to 60 out of a total fleet of 300 vehicles, comprising rigids and tractor units. All 41 vehicles were supplied with Scania’s 2 years Repair and Maintenance package.
Operations Director, Edward Yearsley, stated his reasons for choosing the Scania product as:- "Having operated a number of different types of vehicles, we have chosen Scania for their reliability, fuel economy and the EGR system. They will be mostly used for RDC and internal movements, therefore, this size cab and model is perfect for our requirements."
The aftersales support available from the Scania network was also an important factor in the Group’s buying decision as the vehicles will operate throughout the UK.
"We have had good service from West Pennine Trucks and Scania. When you purchase a Scania you are buying into their dealer network," said Edward Yearsley.
