Scania chassis are optimised in every way possible to help you gain the highest efficiency and reliability. The premium-duty frames are engineered for durability to give a long service life, whilst at the same time to give maximum payload. Different classifications of frame are specified according to the type of operation you specify.

Standard duty covers virtually all highway applications all the way to maximum legal gross weights. There are also classifications designated heavy duty and extra-heavy duty; these are typically for more arduous on/off road conditions and/or gross weights exceeding normal limits.

The vast majority of applications are met by standard specifications within the segments long-haulage, distribution and construction. Chassis designed for these types of use are also well suited to more specialised operations, for example public utilities.
