To make use of all the possibilities in the most cost-effective way, Scania offers a high level of technical support to customers and bodybuilders.
Mounting the body on the frame
Our objective is to make the process of mounting the body to the truck as quick, as simple, and as cost effective as possible. Several wheelbase options for each axle configuration mean that virtually all types of common and specialised bodies
can be accommodated without the need for complex engineering.
Engine and gearbox PTO options offer several choices for extracting stable high-torque outputs.
Chassis can be supplied with pre-drilled mounting points and cut-to-fit frames. (Access to technical data is available on web pages. Bodybuilders can download multi-layered drawings for use with CAD software.)
It’s easy to add the equipment you need
The electrical system provides important opportunities for adding both functionality and safety. A cable harness provides an interface linking the vehicle’s electrical system to bodywork and ancillary equipment.
Three separate connectors at the rear of the cab give a total of up to 18 lines that can be extended to any part of the vehicle. This means that you can add functional or safety equipment with plug-in ease.
What’s more, all 18 electrical poles have an access point in the cab, for switching, warning or monitoring. The electrical infrastructure is there – all you need to do is decide what equipment you want, secure it, plug in and switch on. We’ve made it
that easy for you.
