All Scania tractors can be equipped ex-works with a ready-mounted fifth wheel. This factory supplied and fitted semi-trailer coupling is unique to Scania. It is available on all tractors equipped with the four-bellows rear air suspension and offers some important benefits.

Higher payload:
Far less mounting support equipment is required, so there is less weight. Typically a gain in payload of approximately 70 kgs may be achieved.

Faster delivery:
Your new truck will be delivered road-ready faster than if the fifth wheel is mounted locally.

Lower cost:
Taking account of overall cost, delivery time interest charges and standing time awaiting vehicle completion, fitting of the fifth wheel on the factory production line will save money.

Cleaner operation:
There is the option to specify your Scania fifth wheel with a heavy-duty Teflon coating. It requires no lubrication. (Also available is a standard version with either automatic or manual lubrication.)
