Scania EGR: Exhaust Gas Recirculation

How does Scania EGR Work

Some of the exhaust gases are cooled and fed back into the engine to achieve a lower combustion temperature.

A lower combustion temperature gives lower nitrogen oxide (Nox) emission and high injection pressures give lower particulates.

Scania EGR effectively reduces emissions in all conditions, including highway driving and long haulage, as well as low speed stop and go as in urban areas. This makes Scania EGR an excellent solution for all types of transport.
